Oh, the flu shot gave you the flu? Cool story...

In my Interdisciplinary Applications of Biology class, we discussed whether or not research on the flu, where they made a super virulent strain of the Avian flu to see how easily it could be transferred to humans, should be done and the results shared.



And eh, I tend to keep my opinion to myself when it comes to somewhat controversial topics. But why not? It's going to happen anyway, the research I mean. If the research should be done then the results should be shown and people should know about it.

The smell of autoclave in the morning...

So, I'm a biology lab worker by day and a tutor by night. Today in the labs I stumbled upon some sheep brains in packages which I thought was pretty cool. Tho I don't remember ever having to dissect those....I'm jealous!

I hate having to wear a lab coat because it makes me feel pretentious. I think I may tie dye it to give it some pizazz. What do you think?

Heels, that is. I. Love. Heels.
And before about last week, you could have never told me I would be in love with high heels. I got my first really cute pair, which were those blue creeper platforms in my photo. Man oh man did they hurt, but they were worth every painful inch I had to walk. I think....
The heeling scab on my ankle from where the material gouged my skin off may beg to differ.
But I just ordered this pair off of Karma Loop, and they are Jeffery Campbells for Wildfox....I'm so excited! :)

My work

So, besides being a full time student and having a part time job in a biology lab, I am a tutor. I help out people in math, science, and english. It pays well and doesn't take too much time so I like it. I'm about to go tutor someone in precalculus right now. It's been over two years since I've taken a precal class, so lets see how this goes!

Class

So, I'm in Zoology class right now, learning about phylogeny. This is pretty basic stuff, so it's not too important I pay attention. :P

It's super crappy outside today, mild temperatures and rainy. My Mondays and Wednesdays are exhausting, because I have 5 classes essentially in a row. This is my last full semester too, so it's a big load with 17 credits.
